Challenger 300 Technical Update

The Challenger 300 Technical Briefing will provide attendees with an update on technical issues pertinent to the maintenance and operations of the aircraft. The presentation will have update on top technical issues such as the Electrical and Hydraulic System failures. The topics will cover a description of the technical issue, a status of the solution to the issue and availability of Service Bulletins where applicable. Also included in the presentation will be updates on the Maintenance Program.

Learjet 40/45 Technical Update

The Learjet 40/45 Technical update will provide attendees with information pertinent to the maintenance and operations of the Learjet 40/45 aircraft. Information includes recent improvements to the systems available through Service Bulletins, Key Troubleshooting Systems (i.e. HSTA), e-inspector, Smart Cards, MRA tags, Maintenance update, and status of the top issues.

Overview of damage tolerant airframes

An aircraft structure is considered to be damage tolerant if a maintenance program can be established to detect cracks before they can degrade structural strength below acceptable limits. Cracks can grow from a material flaw, accidental damage, corrosion or fatigue. The Bombardier (Canadair) Challenger was the first civil aircraft to be certified to the Damage Tolerance philosophy. This presentation will describe fracture mechanics and crack growth theory in laymans terms, and how a structural inspection program is determined.

This session will focus on providing an overview of Bombardier's approved Authorized Service Facility (ASF) Network, explain the basic requirements for the ASF?s, present the ASF Team?s role in coordination and development of the ASF Network, detail how the Customers needs and expectations are met by the network and encourage Customers to share their experiences, ideas and suggestions to further enhance and improve the service experience.

This session will present on overview of the CIC website and provide users with online tutorial. Participants will learn how to navigate the website to find all the information they need quickly and efficiently as well as learn about our online services. Participants will be able to provide feedback in an open learning environment.

AirCare HYPOXIA 1

FACTS® Hypoxia Awareness Training is specifically designed to provide a safe means for crewmembers to personally experience the signs, symptoms, and effects of high altitude hypoxia. The program, including both classroom instruction/discussion and hands-on experience provides pilots, flight techs, flight attendants and frequent flyers the opportunity to experience a "decompression" without the potentially harmful side-effects of a decompression chamber.

Global Series Technical Update

The Global Technical Briefing will provide attendees with an update on technical issues pertinent to the maintenance and operations of the aircraft. The presentation will have update on top technical issues such as the Slat Flap Control Unit (SFCU), and the passenger door motor failures. It will also include some SmartFix Plus demonstrations on some of the topics. The topics will cover a description of the technical issue, a status of the corrective action / investigation to the issue and availability of Service bulletins where applicable. Also included in the presentation will be updates on the Maintenance Program and dedicated presentation on the engine status.

Challenger 600 series Technical Update

The Challenger 600/601/604/605 Technical Briefing will provide attendees with an update on technical issues pertinent to the maintenance and operations of the aircraft. The presentation will have update on top technical issues such as the Windshield, AOA. It will also include SmartFix Plus demonstrations on some of the topics. The topics will cover a description of the technical issue, a status of the corrective action / investigation to the issue and availability of Service Bulletins where applicable. Also included in the presentation will be updates on the Maintenance Program and dedicated presentation on the engine status.

Learjet 60/60XR Technical Updates

The Learjet 60 Technical update will provide attendees with information pertinent to the maintenance and operations of the Learjet 60 aircraft. Information includes recent improvements to the systems available through Service Bulletins, Key Troubleshooting Sytems (i.e. APU), Smart Cards, MRA tags, Maintenance update, and status of the top issues.

Contaminated Runway Operation

Understanding the effects of contaminated runways on performance of an aircraft during take-off and landing is extremely important. This presentation will highlight the effects and show the difference in performance between dry and contaminated runways. In addition, information will be given on proposed changes to the classification of runway conditions.

FACTS - Cabin Evacuation

FACTS® Land Evacuation Training is conducted in a hydraulic operated cockpit and cabin simulator equipped with full motion and surround sound capabilities. The cabin class simulator brings a heightened sense of realism to emergency egress drills including hard landings, ditching, decompression, turbulence and inflight fire/smoke. Crewmembers become familiar with emergency commands and briefings preparing passengers for emergency landings using the exit windows and main cabin door as well as the location and deployment of emergency equipment.

Weight & Balance

An introduction to the Learjet Weight and Balance Calculator software (which is identical in operation to the Challenger 300 version of the product), presented by the program's creator. The presenter will work through a complete weight and balance problem for a Learjet Model 40 from setting up the airplane in the software through production of the final flight planning W&B report, then touch on the program's customization features that allow creation of custom airplanes.

Learjet - Technical Publications Update and SmartPubs Training for End-Users

A review of developments and improvement made to Learjet Technical Publications will be given along with a training session on basic and advanced functionalities of SmartPubs aimed at the end-user.

Challenger 800 Series - Technical Update & Support Network

A Technical Briefing will provide attendees with an update on technical issues pertinent to the maintenance and operations of the aircraft. The presentation will include an update on issues such as the Flight Director Uncommanded Speed Change and Hydraulic Accumulators. Topics will cover a description of the technical issue, current status as well as availability of Service bulletins where applicable. Also, we will present a general overview of the responsibilities of each of the Bombardier customer support teams.

Enhancement Take-off/Operational Safety

This session is specifically for flight crews and operators of the Challenger 600, 601, 604, 605 and 850 but the general principles are relevant to the operation of all Bombardier aircraft. A detailed explanation will be provided to increase your undertaking of why it is extremely important to ensure that Cold Weather procedures are followed. Information will be given to assist you in finding the training and awareness material that Bombardier provides on-line.

Flying in RVSM - Sources of Error

This presentation will provide information of the sources that contribute to Altimetry System Error (ASE) when flying in RVSM airspace. It will also show what the capability of the aircraft air data system must be in order that an aircraft can be certified to fly in RVSM airspace. The effects of aging of the aircraft and its system will be discussed, with examples of typical in-service aging on air data probes of RVSM capable aircraft.
